A community sharing the raw & real-life stories as a caregiver

Parenting is hard—full stop. Add in unexpected diagnoses, disorders, and/or different-abilities, and you’re thrown into an uncharted world nothing can prepare you for. This is my story—a raw glimpse into the chaos as well as clarity that I found in getting me to now.  I’ll share how I was able to refocus in the middle of life’s mess, how I started living, loving, and healing in ways I never saw coming. Now, I’m on a mission to be a guiding light for others, helping them find their way to hope, strength, and something real.

Hi Friends, I’m Lisa Finck

Lisa Finck, founder of Uncharted Light

I’ve spent years (okay, most of my life) attending to the needs of others, it’s a part of who I am. Eventually, I began to see and feel the neglect of my own needs. I realized that there was no choice but to start caring for myself after meeting mental, emotional, and physical burnout. It took raw honesty, facing my fears head-on, and trusting that without self-care, I wouldn’t be able to keep showing up for the people I loved most. This is the space I created to help other caregivers learn, share, and feel welcome. Join me in this little community of self-love and acceptance.
